The Ray and Judy Tretheway Heritage Oak Preserve

A living museum that explores the natural heritage of our beloved valley oaks.

In August 2020 the Sacramento City Council unanimously approved renaming the Natomas Oaks Park to the Ray and Judy Tretheway Heritage Oak Preserve (Preserve). This Preserve is the most glorious heritage oak grove in the city of Sacramento. The towering oaks are over 300 years old, virtually forming a closed canopy over the 12-acre Preserve. Donations will provide for ecological restoration and stewardship activities to promote the longevity of the majestic oaks and to enhance the visitor experience.
